Aspendale Women's Masters was founded in 2018 and grew from a small group of 5 over 35's women and expanding to over 3 teams since our inception . Currently we have 1 team with the aim to expand to a 2nd division in the near future. We are a fun group of ladies with a passion for soccer and we love to host regular social events throughout the year.

We annually participate in a Women's Masters 7's South East competition which is a 7v7 format , 16 rounds over 2 seasons on a half size grassroot pitch. Game duration is 20-25min halves.

We have also participated in other FV competitions such as Carnival of Nations, and in the off season period we participate in the Summer Women's Private League at Soccer 5's in Dandenong South which also serves as our training base during the pre-season.

FAQ's

  • When does the season start? The season usually commences 2 weeks before the Easter period and ends in September.

  • Do we train? Outdoor training commences in late January currently on a Wed night at Aspendale Soccer Club. Come along to a training session and see what we do!

  • Do I have to be experienced or can I come along and learn how to kick a ball? No experience required, whether you are a seasoned player or a newbie, all are welcome!

  • Is it high contact? Soccer is a contact sport but for our league it is played at a slightly modified level so we play with care and respect for others.

  • What do I wear? We are registered as a Women's Masters League representing our club which means we play all competitions in our club attire of orange and black, along with shin guards and studded cleats (no spikes). For training, you can wear anything you are comfortable wearing, however cleats are preferable on grass roots rather than normal runners.
