The Stingrays Women's Masters program is for women over the age of 35 who are after social football. 2026 will be our 8th season and we love the game more than ever.
We play in the local Women's Masters competition, a league of bayside clubs that is now in its 10th year. The competition is 7 v 7 on a half pitch, 20-25 minute halves with modified rules. This ensures maximum fun and fitness without the pressure and reducing the likelihood of injury.
The current squad is made up of working mums between the ages of 39-50+, with a range of experience levels from "never played" to "is an ex-superstar but wants to play for fun now". In 2025 we entered one team but this will increase to two teams for the 2026 season.
The Women's Masters train on Thursday nights with a FV qualified coach, the timings of training and games is considerate of the social and family pressures that apply to working women and parents. We understand that some weeks are full on and having a life outside of the club won't be held against you. The only expectation of you as a player is to have fun, increase your skills, and improve your fitness.
