Welcome to Aspendale Stingrays Soccer Club

Whether you call it soccer or football, we love this game and we think you and your child will too.

Aspendale Soccer Club was formed in 2005 by a group of parents looking to provide their kids with the opportunity to get involved in the world game, soccer. The club foundations are built around the premise that by actively promoting team work and sportsmanship all players (both children and adults) will get the most out of playing this beautiful game. To find out more or get involved with running this family club please contact us.

With the support of our members and volunteers, our aim is to provide our local community with the opportunity to participate in, learn, play and enjoy soccer.

New Player Enquiry 2027 - Juniors U12-U18 Girls and Boys

New

At the Aspendale Stingrays Soccer Club, football is about more than just results. We believe the best teams are built on teamwork, respect, friendship, and a genuine love of the game.

From our youngest players through to our oldest junior teams, our goal is to help every player develop their skills, confidence, and understanding of football in a positive and enjoyable environment. We encourage players to challenge themselves, compete with passion, and strive for improvement while always demonstrating good sportsmanship and respect for teammates, opponents, referees, and coaches. These are the attributes we aspire to for our senior Men's and Women's teams so we take steps to foster it from the start.

Whether your child is new to football or looking to take the next step in their development, our coaches, volunteers, and families work together to create a welcoming and inclusive club where every player can thrive. We celebrate progress, support effort, and take pride in being a community club that plays with passion, humility, and heart.

Who Should Complete This Form?

This Expression of Interest is for new Junior players (U12-U18, born between 2007 and 2015 inclusive) who would like to join an Aspendale Stingrays Junior team for the 2027 season. The pre-season is from January and match day programmes starting around Easter. Teams are available across the entire Junior program for both girls and boys.

DO NOT complete this form if your player is already a 2026 Stingrays player or will be a Miniroos player (U7 -U11, born 2016 and after). Miniroos 2027 Expression of Interests will open at a later date.

What Happens Next?

Returning Aspendale Stingrays players are given priority during their returning club player registration process. Once returning player registrations have been finalised, available positions on existing and new teams will be offered to players on our waitlist from October 2026 onwards.

While we always aim to accommodate as many players as possible, submitting an Expression of Interest does not guarantee a place in a team. We encourage families to register their interest as early as possible to maximise the opportunity of being offered a position.

Information We'll Ask For when completing the form:

Your child's name and DOB
Your child's preferred playing day (if applicable)
Current or previous club/team
Previous football experience
Any other information that may assist with team placement, such as previous playing experience overseas - which can require lengthy international clearance administration.
If you are already a club family.

Thank you for your interest in joining the Aspendale Stingrays family. We look forward to welcoming new players for the 2027 season.

Boots and All Donations Reach Timor-Leste

BOOTS AND ALL

Aspendale Stingrays Soccer Club is proud to support football communities beyond our own, with a recent donation of more than 100 playing kits and 30 pairs of football boots delivered to the Ermera region of Timor-Leste.

Club President Morgan, Beginners Coordinator Matt, and members of the Stingrays U14s, who are also students at Cornish College, recently helped deliver the donated equipment as part of an initiative supporting community football programs in the region.

Football is loved throughout Timor-Leste, but many young players do not have access to boots, playing kits or training equipment. Thanks to the generosity of our Stingrays families and players, these donations will now enjoy a second life, helping more children participate in community football programs and experience the joy of the game.

The donation included:

  • More than 100 football kits
  • 30 pairs of football boots
  • Training gear and shin pads generously donated by club members

The equipment will be distributed through Friends of Ermera, a charity that supports communities in the Ermera region, working alongside Cornish College students who regularly visit Timor-Leste through the school's long-standing partnership with local schools.

This initiative highlights the power of community and demonstrates how football can create connections that extend far beyond the pitch. By giving pre-loved equipment a new purpose, our club is helping reduce waste while supporting young footballers who otherwise may not have the opportunity to play.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated equipment. Your generosity is helping make a real difference and ensuring that more children can participate in the world's game.

If you have outgrown boots, playing kits, shin pads or other football gear, donations can still be dropped off at the clubhouse. Every donation helps put quality football equipment into the hands, and onto the feet, of a young player who needs it.
